Shipment
After payment, we may take 3-5 days for your ukulele to be shipped. Your ukulele is not kept in our house, not kept in our office. It is well stored in a private humidity level control storage room. I have to drive far to pick it up, as you know the housing in Hawaii is very expensive.
You must probably be thinking why? Well, the room kept in good temperature, keeping consistent humidity level in protecting the quality of the wood. Other considerations for protection and safety, avoiding direct light, avoiding sunlight exposure, prevent overly crowed area or hazard surrounding and even vibration which may be caused by improper storage. You won’t be finding people walking around stepping or bumping on your product.
That’s right! Taking extra steps with our private humidity level control storage room will protect your precious ukulele. Now you know how much we love our ukuleles. Thank you for buying! We know you will fall in love with our ukulele too, just as we have.
Aloha & Take care!

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these ukuleles from Hawaii?
Our ukuleles are not 100% made in Hawaii, although some parts come from UK, Taiwan, Italy, Hawaii and USA. Some pieces are prep before sending to us, and the soft case bag and box packaging are from China, but the majority of the handcraft is done in Hawaii and they are assembled and tuned in Hawaii. This is a local Hawaii family business and we only make small production in selling to our local Hawaii Island. You probably can google us in finding more about Koa Kalane
Are these Koa woods? What is Acacia Koa wood?
Hawaii has long banned businesses and people from using their local native Koa woods. In fact, only Hawaiian royalty was allowed access to Hawaii koa wood. Therefore, the closest real koa wood which is suitable for making ukulele is Acacia Koa, which is the closest cousin of the Koa family.
Acacia Koa, superior by far and stronger than most. Looking at the unique blend of shades and the fanciful grain patterns, you will understand how this solid Acacia instrument is strong enough to draw your attention.
Can I have the same ukulele pattern on photo?
Sorry, we can’t. You will not receive the exact ukulele on the photo as I am currently selling more than one. But I do understand your concern. We are very selective in choosing our wood pattern for our instrument, therefore you will receive something which is quite similar pattern to it.
When Out of Stock, How Long til Next Batch?
As a retired maker, we take good pride of our ukuleles. Each ukulele requires a time frame of 4-6 months in completing it. Why so long? Each stage and each section, we only allow natural air dry production. We do not rush through our work. Unlike other factory mass productions, they put intense heat and cold temperature to speed up the production and process. We enjoy making our old traditional ukuleles the old Hawaiian ways.
Therefore, when out of stock… You might have to wait several months.
Is your ukuleles any good? How can I hear the tones?
The Best answer is Google or YouTube “Koa Kalane”. The search result will speak itself.
Mahalo again! Wishing You and Your Family a Great Health,
Sincerely,
Koa Kalane
